Feeling at Home in Lech – Kristiania Hotel Review

Versão em português aqui.

What is better? Stay at home or in a luxury hotel? What if you could have the best of both worlds together? That’s what we felt when staying at the most picture perfect hotel in Lech – Kristiania. A truly home-away-from home stay.

Exquisitely adorned rooms, with velvet curtains, candles and lounge music, involved in charming furs and floor-to-ceiling windows with majestic views over the small village. That’s what you get when staying in this cozy and luxurious pet-friendly hotel.

I dreamed about this Small Luxury Hotel for so many years and suddenly we were arriving at the chocolate-box chalet in the middle of a winter wonderland. Very well located in the upper part of the village but within walking access to the ski lifts and shops.

The excellent team, carefully selected by the lovely owner Gertrud, makes all your wishes come true, from having breakfast in your own room by the fireplace to toasting for the most perfect moment on a picturesque and unique picnic on the snow. Can you imagine that?

Our evenings were fulfilled by delicious and perfectly made gourmet meals and – how not? – a creamy and tasteful cheese fondue lit by candles. I can say the food was one of the highlights of our stay. Simply fantastic. I would go back just for another chocolate croissant. My Gosh!

We were upgraded to the most perfect all-in-wodden suite with incredible luxury touches, such as warm furs and a fireplace (although it was electric, but so charming). While my husband was skiing, I spent my afternoons enjoying some relaxing moments and creating content for my blog. How can we not be inspired by such a wonderful place? Thanks Kristiania for this inspiring stay.

Visiting Hallstatt – The Most Instagrammable Village in Austria

Versão em português aqui.

When I started blogging, one of my biggest problems was becoming a real discoverer. Far beyond the ordinary path, I realized there are so many beautiful places to explore out there, I guess one life will not be enough (lol).

img_9563

img_1622

One of the places I put high on my bucket list was the picture-perfect village of Hallstatt, in the middle of Austria, about 1 hour driving south from Salzburg. Last year, on a Christmas and NYE trip, we had the chance to visit this real gem and now I share everything with you.

img_1550

img_1387

First of all, it’s important to mention that Hallstatt has become so famous on Instagram that it’s not difficult to see lots and lots of tourists walking around with their professional cameras, something really weird for such a small village. So, maybe you can be disappointed, but unless you go there in low season, get ready to share your space with many others, the same Instagram effect that happens in Santorini.

img_1419

img_1440

We decided to sleep for an overnight in the village and enjoy it better, from sunset to sunrise. You need to leave your car outside the city centre – for pedestrians only. But don’t worry, there are some easy-to-find parkings and vans that take you to the center, in case you don’t want to go walking, although it is very close. There are some beautiful and cozy places to stay, such as Seehotel Gruener Baum, Heritage Hotel and Hallstatt Hideaway, but don’t expect a luxury stay.

img_1575

The village is really picturesque and our jaw dropped as soon as we started driving the scenic road along the lakes towards Hallstatt coming from Salzburg, a region called Salzkammergut. Once there, the best you can do is enjoy your time without haste and walk slowly through the beautiful narrow streets.

img_1725

img_1722

Hallstatt is a historic village known for its salt production and that is why it has developed as an important Austrian village in the past centuries. Declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, it is perched at the foot of high mountains and bathed by a stunning lake, it is not so difficult to understand why people fall in love with this village, is it?

A Secluded Place in the Dolomites – Adler Lodge Ritten Hotel Review

Versão em português aqui.

Imagine yourself waking up in a comfortable bed with a cozy warm blanket. Then you open the curtains of your picture-perfect all-in-wood chalet and let the first rays of sun warm up your face.

img_6306

img_5637

This could be a part of a dream, but we actually experienced this feeling while staying at Adler Lodge Ritten, an exclusive mountain hotel set in a beautiful part of the Dolomites, in the northern Italy.

img_5716

img_6331

The newly opened hotel is composed of Suites and Chalets, with lots of charm and warm touches – from an open fireplace lounge to wooden floors and ceilings – but also with a refined design decor. You can see from the very first moment that everything was made to order here. It even includes the position of the tables, obtaining perfect sunlight in the morning.

img_5484

The staff is absolutely friendly and it seems that nothing is a big deal for them. As an all-inclusive luxury hotel, you can imagine that everything is absolutely delicious and well served. From breakfast to dinner, including lunch and little bites along the day, you won’t be disappointed about the options. It feels like you are eating out in a Michelin star restaurant everyday. With a plus: you are just a few steps from your room.

img_5284

img_6174

Most of the guests spend the day relaxing in the generous spa area. The well-equipped gym and the stretching area with marvelous views can brighten your day, but the cherry-on-top goes to the heated outdoor pool. Absolutely gorgeous, framed by the beautiful Dolomites in the background.

img_5643

img_6225

We stayed in a two-story chalet with a beautiful and cozy fireplace, from where we never wanted to leave. Or maybe just for a few minutes, to enjoy an invigorating massage or to spend some precious moments in the warm pool. But then we are back to our chalet… and the dream continues…

Why You Should Celebrate the NYE in Tulum

Versão em português aqui.

While I love to be in a relaxing place just my hubby and I, I also love to spend some good time with friends. When we were invited to spend New Year’s in Tulum with some other couples, I couldn’t think twice. We had to make it happen.

Tulum was high on my bucket list after seeing some amazing shots in Instagram. Besides its natural beauty, it’s well know for its lively atmosphere, with trendy restaurants and a laidback but chic ambience. It’s a complete destination with plenty to do (have a look at my post about what to do in Tulum in 5 days).

img_7082

We started searching for the best venue to celebrate NYE and we had no doubt, it had to be at Be Tulum/Nômade hotel. It’s one of the most wanted NYE party and it’s kind of hard and expensive to buy it, but it worth every effort.

img_7142

I tried to make contact several times, but they only started to proper communicate in the beginning of December (thru Facebook and then e-mail), so you can imagine how worried we were. Both hotels hold the tickets for their guests at first, and then they sell it to the general public, that’s why it’s so difficult to buy it, if you don’t have a “friend” or someone from inside.

After making contact thru Be Tulum Facebook page, I received an e-mail address to contact them, and so it was. Finally, around 20/December (yes, unbelievable) we were with our tickets in hands. This year they had two kinds of tickets. Only for the party, which is settled at Nômade Hotel, and dinner + party. Dinner is taken over their three restaurants, we chose Maresias, right on the beach at Be Tulum.

img_7139

The ambience is simply overwhelming. On the sand, a relaxed but stylish atmosphere, with typical performances, like it was taken out of “A thousand and one nights” book. The food was great (not spectacular) and beverages were well served from beginning to end. For me it was the highlight of NYE, where we could chat with our friends in a magical ambience. I couldn’t feel happier than that.

img_7140

But then, around midnight, we headed to Nomade Hotel, about 100 meters away by the beach, where we were delighted by the most fantastic party scene. The vibe was really impressive. Imagine torch lights contrasting with lasers, elegant electronic music contrasting with instrumental performances, carpets on the sand, candles, all together. I guess we were living “A Thousand and One Nights” mixed with “Alice in the Wonderland”. Crazy. Fantastic. And simply unforgettable.

If you are wondering where to celebrate next New Year’s Eve and you are looking for a stylish place with a relaxed atmosphere, wonder no more. Head to Tulum and don’t think for even a second. Be Tulum is where you shall be.

What to Do in Tulum in 5 Days

Versão em português aqui.

As mentioned before in my last post explaining that Tulum was high on my bucket list, we planned to celebrate New Year’s Eve there with friends to party and have a good time. In the middle of the way planning our trip, I figure it out I was pregnant, so I must confess I was a bit worried about if I would enjoy being there or not.

Our main priority was to plan the NYE celebration, which we knew it had to be at Be Tulum Hotel (I will post about it). Besides that, we planned to do some light sightseeing close to Tulum and to have some stylish dinners and sunset parties. In only 5 days it’s hard to get to know it all, but here I will share with you some of the things I suggest you to do in a short time in Tulum. It’s a good overview.

Visit Ancient Ruins

Tulum and the Riviera Maya region housed once a prosper civilization. The Mayas were numerous and built beautiful cities. You can visit the most famous ruins called “Chichen Itza” about 2 hours driving north of Tulum. If you have a short time as we had, you can visit Tulum Ruins, which are very beautiful, located in front of the Caribbean Sea and only about 20 minutes drive from Tulum centre. You can hire a car, arrange a day tour with your hotel or simply hire a taxi, which can take you to the main touristic points nearby Tulum.

Take a dip at one of the many cenotes

Did you know that under Riviera Maya soil there is a river and many caves all “linked” one to another? You can actually dive into this beautiful crystal clear blue water inside the caves, which they call cenotes. Mexico’s Yucatán Península is home of more than 6.000 cenotes, so you can imagine how hard it is to choose only one or two to visit. We decided to visit only one, very close to Tulum (about 20 minutes driving), called Dos Ojos, and we were not disappointed at all. Truly beautiful. There is another cenote very close to Tulum which is also famous called Gran Cenote. If you drive to the North, about 2 hours from Tulum, you can also visit the most famous cenotes in Yucatán Peninsula, such as Cenote X’Canche and Ik Kil.

Relax on the Beach

That’s the best daily practice in Tulum, I may say. There are plenty of beach clubs and hotels with live DJs and a party ambience where you only have to worry about whether to drink one more mojito or not. We spend our days in our hotel Delek Tulum, with a very relaxed vibe and good music. We’ve heard that Be Tulum is one of the best places to spend the day. Gitano has just opened a beach club.

Doing some shopping in stylish boutiques

It’s impossible to not fall in love with the Main Street of Tulum. It’s packed with stylish cafes, healthy bowls shops and beautiful boutiques. Even if it’s just for some Insta shots or not, you must spend some time walking and loosing track of time along this busy narrow street.

Party over the trees watching the sun going by

Picture yourself in a nest over the trees, watching the sunset and enjoying some good music in a lively ambience. You must have imagine yourself at Azulik Sunset Experience, one of the best experiences we had while in Tulum. They run it in a walk-in basis, so be there at least 1 hour before sunset time to guarantee your place. If you want to upgrade your experience, reserve a private nest at Kin-Toh restaurant and watch the sunset in a very private way. But be prepared to pay a salty price for that.

img_1519
Can you spot the nests over the threes?

Dine in style under the stars

Tulum has so many dining options it’s really hard to choose. It’s depends on which kind of food do you want, if a more relaxed or more lively ambience, if you are on a budget basis or not. I must say everything there is quite expensive – as any other trendy place in the world. But you have a few options to choose from, so here are some of my favorite ones:

Pousada Marguerita Ristorante – For fantastic Italian food in a very relaxed atmosphere overlooking the ocean. A place to dine with your feet on the sand.

fullsizeoutput_8d6efullsizeoutput_8d66-1

Gitano – For a lively dinner in a very stylish ambience in the middle of the jungle. Put a nice outfit. One of the most trendy spots of Tulum.

img_6032

Mur Mur – Awarded Mexican cuisine in a relaxed but trendy ambience.

img_7541img_7540

Maresias at Be Tulum – We had dinner there in NYE and we really loved the food and the ambience. It’s a very relaxed place, must be very nice to go there for lunch.

Be Tulum at NYE

Tatewari at Delek Tulum – We stayed at Delek Hotel and ate every day there during lunch time. It’s absolutely delicious and we saw many people coming from other places to have breakfast or lunch. Relaxed atmosphere overlooking the ocean.

Party In Tulum

Tulum is well know for its parties and festivals. As I’m pregnant, we didn’t go to any party besides NYE in Be Tulum, which was by far one of the best parties I’ve ever been too. Fabulous vibe. Check my post about it. After New Year’s there are some festivals held in Tulum, sometimes on the beach, sometimes in the middle of the jungle. One of the most famous is Sound Tulum, which usually starts just after NYE. If you are an electronic music fan, you should check it out.

Make Instagrammable PhotosYou must have seen a thousand photos of Tulum on Instagram. Whether in front of a different hotel, a colorful coffee shop, a stylish shop, there is always a place that looks beautiful in the photos, you don’t have to try too hard to find it. This place below was very close to my hotel, I just came walking from the beach and found this beautiful spot for some photo shooting at Akiin Beach Tulum.

Work Out Like Flintstones

We are gym fanatics and always look for one wherever we are. I confess I was a bit lazy this time (pregnancy has this sort of thing), but my husband did not fail to check out this original gym. All “caveman” style. If your hotel doesn’t have a gym (most of them doesn’t), be sure to check out The Jungle Gym.

Crossing Tulum Off My Bucket List

Versão em Português aqui.

I went to Mexico a long time ago with my parents, more precisely to Cancun, when it was being developed. I must say it’s not my kind of holiday destination. I don’t like big resorts and a bunch of people every where you look.

Delek Hotel Restaurant
Tulum from Above

But then, much more recently, I heard about Tulum and its rustic chic lively ambience adding a magical touch to the natural beauty spread all over Riviera Maya. I knew I had to go there one day.

Come Away With Me – Azulik Hotel

What a better way to visit a festive place if not with a group of friends? When my hubby and I were invited to spend New Year’s there, we had no doubt, we had to rock it. If you like Mykonos and Ibiza, you will love Tulum. Plenty of beautiful people, trendy restaurants and laidback but stylish beach clubs (or hotels), it’s a place to visit at least once. But we are already planning our next visit, sorry!

Incredible Evening in Tulum – Delek Hotel

The ambience here is more chilled than the European destinations I mentioned above. Picture yourself in flip-flops from morning to evening. But expect to find stylish boutiques packed with beautiful linos dresses and outstanding restaurant options. We only spent 5 days there, but we could have stayed for one month for sure. There is so much to do and I explained everything I know here.

Relaxing in the hammock

The best time of the year to go is during their winter time (December to April), it’s not that hot (it’s never cold there) and you can find plenty of nightlife options. During the other months people say it’s more relaxed and calm, but for sure it’s still great. Just avoid hurricanes season (from August to November).

Photo Shooting in Tulum – Akiin Hotel

The main tip I could give you is to find a place to stay right on the beach, if your budget allows you to do that. It’s fantastic to wake up with the sounds of the waves and take a dip in the sea with only a few steps. Besides that, depending on the hotel you are staying in, you won’t have to deal with the super crowded traffic of the main street.

A Day by The Beach

About that, another important tip. We considered to rent a car at the airport, but it’s only wise if you are planning to move around frequently. Consider that in Tulum almost everything is reachable by foot or bicycle. And it’s very hard to drive around, so you won’t be using the car to dine out, for example. So we took a transfer from the airport and used taxis when we wanted to reach a farther place.

Beautiful Boutiques of Tulum

We decided to stay at Delek Tulum and we couldn’t be happier with our ocean view cabana. Simply fantastic. The food was amazing and we spent most of our days there, on the sand, relaxing. Think about a very relaxed place full of character and charm, besides being very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Our Ocean View Room at Delek hotel

Some other unique hotels to check:

*Be Tulum and Nômade – From the same owner, it’s where we celebrated NYE, the most wanted party of Tulum. For sure we will try to stay there in our next visit. Hip and trendy;
*Nest Tulum – Relaxed and stylish ambience, one of our number one choice for the next time. Natural, with a lively vibe;
*Casa Malca – It was once Pablo Escobar’s mansion, now it’s a stylish and beautiful design hotel. For those who seek for a modern touch;
*Azulik – It’s impossible not to mention the most famous hotel in Tulum, with beautiful nests above the trees and very particular decor. But bear in mind that most of the rooms doesn’t have air conditioner. For my husband it is something impossible to live without. You must visit to see it.

A typical store of Tulum

There is so much to do in Tulum that we could easily have spent at least 5 more days there, but in our short time we could at least see it at a glance. Take a look at my next post about What to Do in Tulum in 5 days. Hope I can inspire your next trip.

Magical Stay in Canggu – Tugu Bali – Hotel Review

Versão em português aqui.

When we began planning our trip to Bali, we heard about Canggu and its vibrant scene, with its stylish cafes and restaurants, laid-back beach clubs and untouched rice fields. From the beginning, we knew we had to stay there.

So what is the best place to stay in Canggu, if not the Tugu Hotel? One of the first and most traditional hotels in the area, it is perfectly located on a small street a few steps from the sea.

Expect to be spoiled to the fullest. We were treated like royalty. Starting with our transfer in, with cold towels, water and fresh fruit, we knew we had chosen the right place. Arriving at a traditional temple-like building, we floated into a magical Indonesian spirit. The hotel itself is a museum, with antiques from all over Indonesia and the Kingdoms of Java.

We were greeted with a Balinese ceremony to lift our spirits and detoxify our minds and, in the blink of an eye, we began to understand why Tugu was voted one of Bali’s most charming and romantic hotels with the greatest hospitality. What a magical setting.

Walking down a beautiful path toward our room, listening to the sounds of nature, we were impressed by the hotel facilities, with a beautiful pool and several places to have a lazy breakfast – anytime! That’s it folks! There is no pre-set breakfast time and you can have it wherever you want. Yes, whenever and wherever you want. Isn’t it perfect? Something only a unique boutique hotel like this can offer.

In fact, the cuisine is more than fantastic. We had the most wonderful colorful bowls of the entire trip, overlooking the ocean, while having a delicious cup of tea on the terrace. And when night comes, the acclaimed JI Restaurant, voted number 1 in Bali in 2018, is your place to eat.

With a lively atmosphere, Asian decor and absolutely fantastic food, I could not recommend it more. We had a delicious tasting menu that could be part of a Gods feast. What a taste!!!!

Although the hotel service, food and facilities being fantastic, I must say that for me the cherry on top was our bathroom. Can you imagine waking up early in the morning, going to your outdoor bathroom and being greeted by cute fish from your own aquarium? It’s definitely bathroom goals, isn’t it?

They are so well located that you can easily reach anywhere you want within a few steps – from the beach to most restaurants, boutiques and cafes. And if you wish to go a little further, you can take the lovely bike – hotel courtesy – and make your way through the vibrant streets of Canggu. Maybe you could end up in a dreamy rice field, like I did.

Thanks Tugu Team for making our experience even more remarkable, we will definitely be back soon!!!

Discovering North Bali

Versão em português aqui.

In our first trip to Asia, visiting Singapore and Indonesia, we found out that Bali is a big island. There are several parts where you can stay, it depends on what you intend to experience. More genuine and traditional feelings, more vibrant party scenes, jungle or beach…

Munduk Moding Resort Lobby

We decided to split our itinerary into 4 parts of the island to have a good overview and to avoid too much traffic (which is terrible, as previously said in y last post). So we started our trip from North Bali, approximately 3 hours distance from the airport, to a region called Munduk.

Munduk Moding Plantation Resort was our hand-picked destination in North Bali. The first place I knew I had to stay even before issuing our flight tickets. You know that kind of place which is high on your bucket list, that you have high expectations and you dream about it everyday before you board on the plane?

So… this hotel was like this for me and I can say it exceeded our expectations. Having it as our very first destination in Bali was perfect, cause the atmosphere is so peaceful and authentic. We were able into Balinese vibes from the moment we were greeted by the friendly staff with the most perfect welcoming coffee –  a perfect blend of coffee, ginger, cinnamon and palm sugar. Delicious!

There you sleep in private cabanas – some with their own pools – in the middle of a coffee plantation where they have wild luwaks, so they can produce high quality organic Luwak coffee. Did you know it’s the most expensive coffee in the world? The cute luwaks (a small animal) eat the coffee bean and then their poop is collected, cleaned and the result is an outstanding coffee. Needless to mention, we drank from breakfast to dinner throughout our stay. Fantastic!

In northern Bali we started our trip trekking along coffee plantations, ending it up in a beautiful waterfall called Banyumala, where we cool off in its cold waters. Breathing in an extremely pure air and listening to the sounds of nature is something I will never forget. We got into vacation mode in a blink of eyes. Perfect for fighting against jet lag effects, right?

Banyumala Twin Waterfalls

There we also visited the beautiful Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, which literally means a temple over the water at Bratan Lake. Sumptuous and majestic, it’s one of the most picturesque temples of the Island and one of the most famous Instagram spots.

Along the way, we also took some pictures at Handara Gate, one of the numerous “Gates of Heaven” scattered all over Bali. There is no lake in front of it, as you can imagine through some Instagram photos. It’s an effect they make with mirrors. But it’s worth it, trust me. It’s beautiful.

Handara Gate

The north is unlike anything you have ever thought of Bali. As we went there in winter, the nights were chilly and the days were hot, but not as hot as in southern Bali. There is a touch of mountain vibe and you can spend your nights by the fire and your days sipping a delicious cocktail in the beautiful pools of the hotel.

If we ever go back to Bali again, we will definitely stay in the north, especially for the hotel experience, which was one of the friendliest and most welcoming we had on the entire trip. Waking up to this vision is something you can never forget, agree?

Our private pool

Some of other things you can do while staying in the north of the island:

  • Canoeing on Prestine Tamblingan Lake – we were supposed to do this experience, then realized it would be very tiring as we had just arrived in Asia (jet lag in full). I must say I regret not doing this because this lake is one of the most spectacular in Bali. It is definitely worth the visit.
  • Trekking on the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces – a UNESCO Heritage Site – they say they are the most beautiful rice terraces on the island. We didn’t get a chance to go there, a good reason to return.
  • Visiting Empelan Waterfall – some people say it’s the most beautiful waterfall of Bali, but the truth is Bali has several waterfalls, one even more beautiful than the other.
  • Visiting Traditional Villages – Around the hotel there are many old villages where you can visit the local market and learn more about their culture and customs.

Living the Magic in Bali

Versão em português aqui.

You know you had a wonderful trip when you drop tears on the last day. That’s how we felt about Bali. Heading to the airport literally crying. We can barely believe it’s over.

img_4516

While planning this trip to Singapore and Indonesia with Emirates, we heard so much about Bali before visiting the island, I have to say I was a bit anxious on what to expect, what we would see, what we would feel. Some people say it’s a crazy island, with crazy traffic, motorbike buzzing around, rubbish everywhere.

Well folks, I have to say it’s real world. Bali is located in a country with massive poverty and of course, you will see all of these crazy things people say. Traffic is “”horrendous”. You see dirt in the streets. But on the other hand, the people from Bali is one of the most friendly of the world. Besides that, nature here is absurdly beautiful, God was generous. From lush green jungles to blue beaches, from calm traditional villages to trendy vibrant ones. Bali has it all.

We splited our trip into 4 parts, beginning from North Bali, which is a less touristic and more peaceful region, perfect to relax and unwind in the beginning of the trip, getting into Balinese vibes. Then we headed to Central Bali, where is located the famous Ubud, one of the most popular and traditional neighborhoods of the island. Tucked away into the jungle, waking up with sounds of nature, is definitely something we will never forget.

When we headed South, we changed from jungle vibes to a beach breeze. In Canggu we tried the most colorful bowls and enjoyed marvelous sunsets by the beach in a more party scene. To wrap up our fabulous itinerary, we stayed the last 2 days in a secluded beach in the cliffs of Uluwatu and had the most spectacular spa experience of our lives, in a peaceful sanctuary with the sounds of waves on the background. Oh, what a moment to remember!  Wish I could go back in time…

By the way, there is no other place where you can have cheaper massages with such high quality. Imagine the most beautiful ambience and the most perfect balinese massage for less than a half you would pay in Europe. We enjoyed it to the fullest, from the first to the last hotel. Perfect to relax and enjoy Balinese peaceful vibes.

Bali stole our hearts. From the very first contact, we realized it would be an outstanding experience. People from Bali are extremely religious and peaceful, everywhere you look there is a small temple and offerings to God. You feel this spiritual vibe at every corner. Imagine yourself being welcoming with a “namaste” gesture at every restaurant. You feel so good. You feel in peace.

After the most marvelous ten days of our lives, I can easily find the perfect definition for this magical island. For me, Bali is a place to soften the soul and free the mind, letting nature and their contagious happiness elevate your spirit. Am I making it easy for you to decide whether you should go to Bali?

Secluded Retreat in Uluwatu’s Cliffs – Karma Kandara Bali – Hotel Review

When we started planning our trip to Bali (complete post soon), my idea was to end it up the itinerary on a secluded beach to relax in the last days of our trip. And that’s what we did.

Staying at Karma Kandara, on the southernmost part of the island, was definitely a dream come true. Steeped on the cliffs of Uluwatu, Karma Kandara is all about a unique experience.

The hotel facilities are amazing. You need a cart to explore everything, so big it is. Beautifully decorated paths lead to the main restaurant Al Mare, from where you can admire a view to die for. Oh my gosh!

The infinity pool offers stunning views over the Indian Ocean and the beautiful Karma Beach, Karma Kandara’s private beach, accessible by 360 degrees or a quick 5-minute elevator ride.

On the way to the beach it looks like you are arriving in the Heaven: 50 shades of blue in a calm bay protected by coral reefs that looks more like a lagoon at low tide. Karma Beach Bar adds a stylish touch to complete the luxurious experience, with great cuisine and wonderful sea views, accompanied by lively music.

How about a movie night on the beach? Movie sessions will never be the same after this. Imagine yourself watching a movie under the stars with a fresh sea breeze, snacking on an Italian-style pizza and a glass of wine.

Play hard, work harder, right? We began our days there doing our morning exercises in the beautiful gym overlooking the jungle and the sea. And what about a yoga class with the Indian Ocean as your background? Relaxing with real sounds of nature. Could I ask for anything more in life?

I don’t think so, but Karma Kandara can deliver even more. Picture this: now you are entering a sanctuary called Karma Spa. Perched on the cliffs, with the sound of the waves in the background, there is your beautifully decorated treatment room.

The hand-picked Couples Ocean Ritual was certainly the most amazing spa experience we’ve ever had. From head to toe, a 2 hour treatment to wash away any tension. More than relaxed, we felt refreshed. Thank God, we felt alive !!!

Karma Kandara was the perfect wrap up of a marvelous trip to Bali. Thanks Karma Team for pampering us from beginning to end. We are definitely coming back soon.
