You know you had a wonderful trip when you drop tears on the last day. That’s how we felt about Bali. Heading to the airport literally crying. We can barely believe it’s over.

While planning this trip to Singapore and Indonesia with Emirates, we heard so much about Bali before visiting the island, I have to say I was a bit anxious on what to expect, what we would see, what we would feel. Some people say it’s a crazy island, with crazy traffic, motorbike buzzing around, rubbish everywhere.

Well folks, I have to say it’s real world. Bali is located in a country with massive poverty and of course, you will see all of these crazy things people say. Traffic is “”horrendous”. You see dirt in the streets. But on the other hand, the people from Bali is one of the most friendly of the world. Besides that, nature here is absurdly beautiful, God was generous. From lush green jungles to blue beaches, from calm traditional villages to trendy vibrant ones. Bali has it all.

We splited our trip into 4 parts, beginning from North Bali, which is a less touristic and more peaceful region, perfect to relax and unwind in the beginning of the trip, getting into Balinese vibes. Then we headed to Central Bali, where is located the famous Ubud, one of the most popular and traditional neighborhoods of the island. Tucked away into the jungle, waking up with sounds of nature, is definitely something we will never forget.

When we headed South, we changed from jungle vibes to a beach breeze. In Canggu we tried the most colorful bowls and enjoyed marvelous sunsets by the beach in a more party scene. To wrap up our fabulous itinerary, we stayed the last 2 days in a secluded beach in the cliffs of Uluwatu and had the most spectacular spa experience of our lives, in a peaceful sanctuary with the sounds of waves on the background. Oh, what a moment to remember!  Wish I could go back in time…

By the way, there is no other place where you can have cheaper massages with such high quality. Imagine the most beautiful ambience and the most perfect balinese massage for less than a half you would pay in Europe. We enjoyed it to the fullest, from the first to the last hotel. Perfect to relax and enjoy Balinese peaceful vibes.

Bali stole our hearts. From the very first contact, we realized it would be an outstanding experience. People from Bali are extremely religious and peaceful, everywhere you look there is a small temple and offerings to God. You feel this spiritual vibe at every corner. Imagine yourself being welcoming with a “namaste” gesture at every restaurant. You feel so good. You feel in peace.

After the most marvelous ten days of our lives, I can easily find the perfect definition for this magical island. For me, Bali is a place to soften the soul and free the mind, letting nature and their contagious happiness elevate your spirit. Am I making it easy for you to decide whether you should go to Bali?
